Dr Darren Chugg, DMD, PharmD

Dr. Darren Chugg loves his profession and the opportunity of providing for your family’s dental health.  For Dr. Chugg, providing the most comfortable and professional experience for his patients is always at the highest priority.  He provides all aspects of dentistry including cosmetic dentistry, fillings, implant restoration, crown and bridge and root canals.

Education and Experience

Dr. Chugg graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Idaho with degrees in International Studies and Spanish. During his undergraduate studies, he studied abroad in Guatemala and Costa Rica learning Spanish.  Before attending dental school, Dr Chugg studied at Idaho State University College of Pharmacy graduating with High honors.  Practicing as a pharmacist for several years gave him great experience relating to patients and their needs.  Driving his decision to become a dentist was his desire to help more people achieve great oral and general health!  Dr. Chugg completed his dental training at Midwestern University School of Dental Medicine in Glendale, AZ graduating as the Salutatorian.  Dr Chugg continues to learn the best and most up to date in dentistry by taking more than 100 hours of continuing education per year.

Dr. Chugg has been caring for patients for the last several years in Arizona.  Dr. Chugg enjoys treating patients of all ages and forming new friendships with them.  He is passionate about creating dental health treatment plans that are individually tailored to restore and maintain strong teeth, healthy gums, and a beautiful lasting smile.  Each patient is treated as family, focusing on their most important needs first.

Outside the Office

Dr. Chugg is the proud father of three boys, Owen, Jayden and Simon.  He has been married seventeen years to his wife, Stephanie.  Dr. Chugg enjoys spending time with his family on vacations to new and different places.  His personal hobbies are scouting, running, biking, hiking, and learning more hobbies.

Dr. Mark Moss

Education:

• University of Pacific dental school grad 1978
• San Jose State University grad 1975
• Raised in San Diego, been in AZ for the last 10 years.
• Thousands of hours (really) of continuing education focusing mostly on implant surgery. Passion for CAD/CAM dentistry and have been designing and fabricating my own crowns for 15 years. Concentration on current techniques and computer diagnosis and planning. Been practicing for 40 years this year and passion for quality care has never been higher.

 

Dr. David R. Anderson

Dr. David R. Anderson was born and raised in Arizona. So as an "Arizona Native" he enjoys spending time outdoors. Often as a child he could be found barefoot in the backyard eating an orange. He has spent much time exploring and camping throughout the state. As his father is a veterinarian he has been raised around animals and has often helped with the dental care of pets. Other interests of his include barbequing, baseball and welding.

Dr. Anderson and his wife enjoy being the parents of 3 children. With all participating in sports, they are kept busy with an active family.

Dr. Anderson graduated magna cum laude from Arizona State University. He attended Midwestern University Dental School. While attending Midwestern he received recognition and several awards for his outstanding skills in dentistry. Professionally he is committed to the highest standards of oral health for his patients. He actively pursues his continued education in dentistry to keep abreast of new advances and technologies, to make available for the care of patients.

 

 

Jessica Sapien, RDH

Jessica completed her Dental Hygiene degree in 2014 at Rio Salado College in Tempe. She truly loves her work in dental hygiene and has a passion to help every patient that she treats. She especially feels accomplished when she can teach her patients how to properly care for their teeth at home.

Jessica has been with Desert Sky Family Dental and Orthodontics since August of 2015. Jessica attends several continuing education courses throughout the year and enjoys volunteering for dental community service projects in Arizona. Jessica was bom and raised in Glendale, Arizona and lives in El Mirage with her husband and two dogs. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. Jessica loves traveling
in her spare time and enjoys visiting new places.

Jessica enjoys getting to know her patients individually to provide high quality dental care. She enjoys dental hygiene and prides herself in being gentle, yet thorough.

Malfy Reyes Gonzalez

Malfy Reyes Gonzalez received her Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in dental hygiene from Phoenix College in 2006. Malfy graduated as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society which is the only scholastic honor society recognized by the American Association of community and Junior Colleges. Before becoming a dental hygienist she had been in the dental field as an office manager and dental assistant.

Malfy is passionate about empowering patients to attain confidence in their smile by educating them on the prevention of disease and helping them obtain optimal health. Malfy also uses nitrous oxide for patients who suffer from dental anxiety and or fear of needles.

On her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She is an outdoorsey person who enjoys hiking, yoga, and hanging out at the beach.
